McConnell Sales & Engineering Corporation has indeed been serving industrial customers in the South since our start in 1931.  Our specialty is providing equipment to monitor and control industrial processes.  We offer products for controlling temperature, pressure, flow, and level.  We can also handle applications for detecting color, shape, size, position, texture, and even tension.  We have a number of paper mills and steel mills that have been depending on our products and services for 50+ years.  In recent years, Alabama has been blessed with new customers in the automotive manufacturing business.  McConnell Sales & Engineering Corporation has been able to supply and support those customers as well as many of their 2nd and 3rd tier suppliers.  We offer a long tradition of sales and service working with manufacturers that we have represented for decades and customers we have supplied for decades.  Thank you for your interest in our company!

Here are our newest product lines

Hyde Park Sensors, based in Cleveland, Ohio specializes in ultrasonic sensors for industrial applications.  This leading manufacturer of ultrasonic sensors offers many ways to detect a product, or process, without coming in contact with it.  Hyde Park has been able develop a line of sensors, using sound waves to accomplish virtually anything normally done by proximity sensors or photo-electric sensors.  Their advantage is, they can handle shiny or flat surfaces, any color, any texture, and they can do this in ranges up to 30 feet.  Click on the logo for more information and some examples of applications.

      Plastico – located in Memphis, Tennessee is a manufacturer and fabricator of plastic products.  Not only do they offer a wide assortment of plastic tanks and containers, but they can also provide custom built racks, parts holders, trays, carts, nuts & bolts, even display cases.  Plus, they can build small quantities, providing customers with prototypes and “test-run” or “test-fit” parts.  By using durable compounds of plastics, their products offer a high degree of chemical compatibility and corrosion resistance.

    Gems Sensors has a long reputation for handling level and flow switch applications.  Their transducers can provide solutions to applications where simple single-point switching is not enough.  An analog signal can be used to indicate the exact flow through a pipe or level in a tank.  With recent advances in their pressure switch and pressure transducer products they can now offer solutions to any pressure monitoring requirement.
